Water sports on the Baltic Sea & Warnow
At home on the water? Stand-up paddling or taking off in a kayak? Warnow and Baltic Sea make both possible to discover Rostock from an unusual perspective from the water. SUPs are available for hire on site, as are paddle boats and kayaks. They are recommended for longer tours through the city harbour to the mouth of the Baltic Sea or upstream along the Warnow. There you can watch dancing dragonflies, jumping fish and birds soaring through the air.

Play and sports beaches in Warnemünde
AOK Active Beach
From June to September, the AOK Active Beach Warnemünde - the play and sports beach at beach block 13 - invites you to active recreation with beach soccer, beach volleyball and many other sports on the fine sandy beach in the Warnemünde seaside resort. On 7,500 m² directly on the Baltic Sea, eight playing fields with first-class equipment and a qualified team of coaches are available.
SportBeachArena
In summer, the SportBeachArena is open in beach section 1 below the Warnemünde lighthouse. The arena is always a meeting place for younger and older athletes as well as sports enthusiasts alike. It is also the place where local clubs and sports groups hold their training sessions during the summer months. But it is also a place where clubs can meet to compete in sporting events and hold top-level tournaments. With its large marquee, the arena is available as an event location for private and business events.
