Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festivals

Since the founding concert in 1990 the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festivals have evolved into Germany’s third largest classic music festival. About 120 concerts throughout the state as well as the “Little Festival in the Big Park” attract visitors to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from June to September.

The Rügen Spring Festival in March under the artistic direction of the Fauré Quartet and the Advent and New Year’s concerts in the winter months make the festival year perfect. Every year more than 80,000 fans of classical music experience young talented artists as well as the great stars of the classical music scene, whether in old manor houses, barns, factory halls, castles and churches or outdoors.

In addition to the music, it is the incomparable landscape featuring lakes, ocean and coastline as well as more than 80 venues which transform the concerts of the MV Festivals into special experiences.
