Marienkirche

St Marien’s is Rostock’s most beautiful and most important church. The transept and nave of the cross-shaped basilica are of equal length and create a compact impression of this Gothic church, the construction of which was begun in the middle of the 13th century. Furnished with precious ornaments, it has an astronomical clock with Apostle rotation (1472) and a bronze baptismal font (1290), amongst other things.

October to April; Monday to Saturday: 10am-4pm

Sunday/public holidays 11am-12.15pm
