Alter Strom

The Alter Strom is worth a visit whatever the time of year. Fishing vessels, passenger ships, large yachts, small sailing boats and even the city rescue cruiser are docked here.

The houses that used to make up the “Vörreeg” (front row) now play host to cafes, bars, ice cream parlours and many small businesses. On the other bank of the Strom, the Mittelmole (central jetty), you will find the old ferry terminals, the train station and the marinas.
