In and around Rostock, cyclists can experience a bit of everything. The Rostock Heath is a unique cycling area with scenic attractions, sights and a view of the sea. Two long-distance cycle routes lead through the city. Whether you decide on an individual cycling tour or a guided cycling tour: Rostock's scenic attractions will convince you in every season.

Guided cycling tours

Unique, romantic, but also wild and full of character - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern offers a variety of landscape experiences. The varied coastal landscape with its long sandy beaches, the quiet Bodden waters or the mysterious moors is well known. The inland with its secluded avenues, undulating hills and unspoilt villages also has its own special charm.

The ADFC Rostock organises a wide variety of tours through the country and beyond. All tours have been selected, explored and prepared by experienced cycle tour leaders.

Two long-distance cycle routes lead through the Hanseatic city. Whether from metropolis to metropolis or always along the Baltic coast - each tour has its very own charm.

Baltic Coast Cycle Route Lübeck-Usedom
Length: 670 km
Duration: 15 days

From the island of Usedom in the east to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, the Baltic Coast Cycle Route leads. The special thing about it: Here the sea is always in sight. Along the way are white beaches, parks, castles and proud Hanseatic cities, including Stralsund, Wismar and Rostock. The Rostock coastal strip stretches from Markgrafenheide and Hohe Düne on the eastern bank of the Warnow to Warnemünde and Diedrichshagen in the west.

Berlin-Copenhagen long-distance cycle route
Length: 630 km
Duration: 13 days

This long-distance cycle route links the metropolises of Berlin and Copenhagen over 15 stages, including a short sea voyage. It introduces you to the sights and idyllic scenery of the German north and Danish south. From the small Mecklenburg town of Schwaan, the cycle route reaches Rostock and runs right through the Hanseatic city to the seaport. Here begins the ferry crossing (approx. 2 hours) to the rugged south coast of the Danish fishing village of Gedser.
