Pure nature! Fischland-Darß-Zingst
Take a deep breath on the peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst with their fantastic nature and rural landscape. In spring and autumn, when numerous cranes rest, a Darß guided tour with crane observation can also be booked. Furthermore it´s a good idea to visit the amber-city Ribnitz-Damgarten.
Hanseatic City of Stralsund and the biggest island of Germany
Visit the world heritage city centre of Stralsund and its impressive brick stone gothic churches. The city is the gate to the island Rügen, where you can find the famous chalk cliffs and a wonderful nature. See also small fishing villages and great beaches.
Romantic castles in Schwerin and Güstrow
In Schwerin you will discover one of the most beautiful castles of Germany surrounded by wonderful nature and water landscape. In Güstrow is an amazing castle located, too. Both cities were residences for grand dukes of Mecklenburg.
Greifswald with the ruin of an abbey and fishing village
You will love the medieval city centre of Greifswald with narrow alleys, old city walls and high churches. The mystery ruin of the abbey Eldena, which was painted by the famous artist Caspar David Friedrich and the romantic fisher village Wiek are located nearby.
Surrounded by water at Mecklenburg Lake District
Explore the land of the 1000 lakes and see the largest lake of Germany, beautiful national parks and awesome manor houses. The traditional spa resort Waren (Müritz) is also worth a visit.
