Camping - campsites and caravans in Rostock and Warnemünde

Holiday on the Baltic Sea with a caravan or in a tent

Within Rostock and Warnemünde there is a possibility for caravan owners to park their vehicles on designated and permitted parking areas, provided the parking space provides sufficient area. The amount of the fee to be paid or the charge is determined by the rate identification on the respective parking area.

Please note that since March 2017 a spa tax has been charged for caravans in Warnemünde, Markgrafenheide and Diedrichshagen. The spa tax can be paid in the tourist centre in Warnemünde, Dept. Kurwesen (Am Strom 59 / Eckenkirchen, 18119 Rostock-Warnemünde) as well as in the Tourist Information centre Warnemünde.

1. Entrance to the city:

Arriving from the A19 motorway exit Rostock­Süd or Rostock­Ost in the direction of the city: parking area at Mühlendamm, opposite the Flussbad (riverside swimming facility). There are 30 centrally located parking spaces for caravans with connection to local public transport. Other amenities: street lighting, opportunities to dispose of waste and empty chemical toilets as well as power connections for caravans. You can reach the parking area from the motorway exit “Süd” via Tessiner Straße or from the exit “Ost” via Rövershäger Chaussee and connecting route. Please gather the rates from the notices on the parking machines.

2. Inner city area:

Arriving from the B105 federal highway from the direction of Stralsund and driving in the direction of the inner city towards the city harbour: right-hand side: parking area at the city harbour (Stadthafen); left-hand side: parking area at Fischerbastion (“Fisherman’s Bastion”)

3. Schmarl/Groß Klein: designated parking area on the IGA grounds

4. Warnemünde/Wilhelmshöhe: following the parking guidance system:
P+R Strand­Mitte - P+R Warnemünde Ost - P+R Strand­West Scandlines/ Wilhelmshöhe railway station

5. Markgrafenheide: Stubbenwiese Budentannenweg



Chemical toilets can be emptied round the clock at the campsite in Markgrafenheide ("Camping­ und Ferienpark baltic­Freizeit GmbH").
