Canoeing through Rostock
See the city from another perspective! We will take you on an exploration of the colourful history of Rostock, from the first Slavic settlement to the present day. In the city harbour you can find out about many minor and major events that have taken place in our old Hanseatic City. This is because it all began by the water. Jump on board and go on a different type of tour! You will be at the centre of the action and paddle around in a two-person kayak at your own speed. Groups assemble at indicated meeting points to learn interesting facts about Rostock. Observe the imposing scenery of the city from a small distance! As well as wonderful urban and maritime views, the Unterwarnow estuary has all sorts of nature to offer. With a bit of luck, you can watch kingfishers and even white-tailed eagles.
Before each tour, there is a crash course in paddling and safety. Then we head out onto the open water. You will be equipped with a kayak, paddle and lifejacket, as well as a spraydeck which protects you from water spray and, at low temperatures, the cold. Have a look on our website, www.stadtpaddelnrostock.de, and find out about our current offers and more!
